typische Nederlandse gerechten

Makanan khas Belanda

1. stamppot: ini lah nama yang akan tersebut pertama kali setiap kita tanya, apa makanan khas belanda? terbuat dari kentang yang direbus dan dihancurkan (mashed potatoes) dan dicampur dengan beberapa sayuran seperti wortel atau sayuran hijau lainnya seperti boerenkool. dihidangkan panas-panas bersama dengan sosis besar yang bernama rookworst. hmm..enak. tapi ini memang makanan musiman dan mereka biasanya membuatnya pada saat musim dingin tiba.

2. olliebollen: ini juga makanan musiman lain dari belanda, biasanya hanya ada di musim gugur dan musim dingin. juga menjadi makanan yang umum dicari pada saat malam pergantian tahun. yah.. namanya juga tradisi. ketika pertama kali melihatnya saya langsung berpikir makanan di bogor yaitu odading. hahahaha. inilah roti goreng khas belanda yang beberapa ditambah kismis. rasanya cukup enak dan bikin perut kenyang hanya dengan memakan 4 olliebollen besar *ya iya laaaaah…*

3. patat: alias kentang goreng *sumpah.. banyak banget!!*. tidak jelas aslinya dari mana, namun belgia berani mengklaim bahwa patat berasal dari sana. ditambah, patat yang tahun lalu menjadi nomor satu di belanda memang berasal dari belgia. kentang goreng ini memiliki bungkus berbentuk kerucut (juga beberapa dalam bentuk box) dan menjadi makanan jalanan seperti halnya gorengan di indonesia. jangan lupa untuk menambahkan saus di atasnya, baik mayonaise, selai kacang, kari, saus tomat ataupun bumbu tambahan lainnya. untuk menu spesial, mereka menambahkan potongan bawang bombay di atasnya. jadi, jangan bilang pernah ke belanda kalau tidak merasakan patat plus mayo.

4. stroopwafel: adalah wafel yang dibuat dari adonan tepung, mentega dan susu yang dipanggang dengan disisipi karamel di tengah-tengahnya. rasanya? renyah tapi legit dan maniiiis sekali. contoh makan manis lainnya ada dalam bentuk appeltaart (apple pie) dan spekkoek.

selain itu, ada juga beberapa jenis makanan yang berbentuk roti/sandwich yang dicampur dengan berbagai macam jenis keju. ya.. siapa yang tidak mengakui kehebatan keju belanda? keju yang juga dimakan sebagai teman minum kopi atau anggur ini, memang menjadi pelengkap bagi sebagian makanan belanda.
